Terms & Policies

Welcome to Growth Lane Consulting. These Terms & Policies set out how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We keep things simple, transparent and fair, just like our services.

By purchasing or engaging with any service from Growth Lane Consulting, you agree to the terms below.


1. About Us

Growth Lane Consulting provides business consultancy and advisory services to micro and small business owners. Our services include (but are not limited to) strategy, planning, technology advice, AI training, marketing guidance, and project management support.

We operate on a fixed-price, package-based model wherever possible so you know the cost upfront.


2. Scope of Services

Each service includes:

  • A complimentary 15-minute introductory call
  • A defined scope of work agreed in advance
  • A fixed-price quote before work begins

Work will only begin once scope, pricing and timelines are agreed in writing (email confirmation is sufficient).

Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and quoted separately before proceeding.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are listed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment terms will be confirmed before work begins.
  • For fixed-fee services, payment is typically required upfront or in agreed instalments.
  • Retainer services are billed monthly in advance.

Work may be paused if payments are not received within agreed timeframes.

We do not charge hidden fees.


4. Cancellations & Refunds

Introductory Calls

Free introductory calls may be rescheduled with reasonable notice.

One-Off Services

If you cancel after work has begun, you will be charged for work already completed.

Due to the nature of consultancy services, we do not offer refunds once delivery has commenced, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

Retainers

Retainer agreements may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice unless otherwise agreed.


5. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the best outcome, clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and timely information
  • Respond to requests within reasonable timeframes
  • Attend scheduled sessions or provide notice to reschedule

Delays in providing required information may impact timelines.


6. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential.

We will not share your business information with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

You agree not to share proprietary tools, frameworks or materials provided by  Growth Lane Consulting without written permission.


7. Intellectual Property

All materials, templates, frameworks and training content provided by Growth Lane Consulting remain the intellectual property of Growth Lane Consulting unless otherwise agreed.

You are granted a non-transferable licence to use materials for your own internal business purposes only.

Materials may not be resold, redistributed, or reproduced for commercial purposes without written consent.


8. Results & Disclaimer

Growth Lane Consulting provides advice, guidance and practical support based on experience and best practice.

However:

  • We cannot guarantee specific financial results
  • Business outcomes depend on implementation and external factors
  • You remain responsible for decisions made within your business

We aim to provide clear, practical advice, but final decisions always remain with you.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Growth Lane Consulting shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific service provided

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.


10. Data Protection & Privacy

We only collect personal information necessary to deliver our services.

Information is stored securely and is never sold to third parties.

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

(You may wish to add a separate, more detailed Privacy Policy if you collect email marketing data.)
